Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) A sparkling new office building project proposed for 8th Street and Minnesota Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls could help freshen up disheveled Van Epps Park.
Developer Dale Jans' vision includes office and retail space, underground parking and maybe even loft apartments in a building of at least 50,000 square feet. He says the five story complex would be the "front entrance" to downtown Sioux Falls, driving from the north on Minnesota Avenue.
Jans says he is in preliminary discussions on ways to incorporate Van Epps Park into the overall plan - opening it up as a green area to accomodate the new development. The new building would be right next to the park that has caused city officials so many headaches with public drunkenness and other embarrassments..
