SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police say they’re getting a lot of complaints about loud noise and reckless driving of motorcycles, scooters and A-T-V’s.
Lieutenant Troy Lubbers says enforcement will be stepped up. Lubbers says officers will be strictly enforcing the motor vehicles codes pertaining to motorcycles, scooters and all-terrain vehicles.
He says that includes: the decible reading of the exhaust, proper lights/taillights, eye protection and all other vehicle laws including the intoxicated operator.
Police along with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office and the Highway Patrol will work around Sioux Falls to watch for violaters. He says special attention will be paid to 57th Street and Highway 11.
Lubbers says the goals are to make the roads safer and address complaints.
