SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Congress is considering a patch of federal highway funding for the next two months.
Congresswoman Kristi Noem says, meanwhile, work continues on a long-term solution.
Noem says South Dakotans in transportation funding and road construction need a long-term bill, one that would be a five or six year bill that would be paid for so they can plan for the big projects that need to be done.
Noem says unlike previous extensions there’s enough money in the transportation trust fund to last through July.
