An accused burglar may be tied to a string of thefts

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police say a recent string of garage burglaries may have come to an end last night with the arrest of a 22-year-old Colton man.

Officer Sam Clemens says Tyler Steven Martens was arrested hiding in an apartment garage on East 18^th Street.             

Clemens says Martens was covered in sheet rock dust and investigators found jewelry on him. 

Martens is charged with possession of stolen items, possession of burglary tools and six counts of third degree burglary.

Clemens says there have been some 15 apartment garage burglaries in the last couple of months.
