SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Turnout was light last night in the opening meeting between Sioux Falls Police and residents.

Officer Sam Clemens says tonight’s meeting is at 5:30 at the Kuehn Community Center on South Valley View Road.

Clemens says the meetings give residents an opportunity to tell police about the crimes they're seeing in their neighborhoods.  They can share concerns and issues with police that they may not no about.

Police captains, lieutenants and officers that are assigned to specific parts of the city all attend the community meetings

Thursday night’s  neighborhood meeting is at the Oyate Community Center.
