SIOUX FALLLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minnehaha County Commission will again present to the state the difficulty the County has in securing revenue.

Commission Chairwoman Cindy Hieberger says the County doesn’t get enough property tax money to meet the needs of a growing community.

Heiberger says there are enough taxes collected in the State of South Dakota but there's a distribution issue.  She says when you've got one entity of government that's really struggling, "then maybe we need to re-look at how this formula is working."

Hieberger says any legislative solutions would come from the South Dakota Association of County Commissioners.
