SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The City of Sioux Falls is seeking a 1.5% increase in property taxes.
Finance Director Tracy Turbak says the state allows an increase based on the rate of inflation.
Turbak says all the property taxes the city collects goes into the general fund. He says that supports street maintainance, snow removal, police, fire rescue and takes care of parks and libraries.
The City Council must approve the increase.
