Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The City of Sioux Falls is part of a suit against a roofing company over bulging exterior metal panels on the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
City Attorney Dave Pfeifle says MJ Dalsin backed out of a settlement agreed to by all contractors on the multi-million events center project to resolve the issue with the noticeable ripples in the panels.
Earlier this year, MJ Dalsin filed a lien against the City for more than $500,000 for what the company claims is owed on work on the PREMIER Center and the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
Dalsin Manager Jared Kuik tells KELO Radio that his company did not install the panels in question, that the head contractor had another company install the panels on the west side of the building. He says the legal action was a "big surprise" as the city knew Dalsin was coming back with some different offers on the settlement.
