SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The State’s Homeland Security Office isn’t saying there’s any credible terrorism threat against South Dakota, but it encourages citizens to watch for signs.
Tony Mangan says that includes surveillance, information gathering, testing security, acquiring supplies, impersonation and rehearsal.
Mangan says if citizens see anything that looks out of the ordinary, call local law enforcement and ask them to check it out. He says it doesn't hurt to look into it, just to be on the safe side for everybody.
Mangan says the state tip line is 844-3-S-D-SAFE. He says that line does not replace the 911 emergency line.
