Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - After a standoff that lasted approximately 5 hours, Sioux Falls Police arrested a 34-year-old man for Aggravated Domestic Assault.
The standoff began shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Friday January 8, 2016 when the suspect’s roommate called 9-1-1 to report the suspect had threatened the victim with a bow and arrow. When Officers arrived they met with the victim who had fled from the residence. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect but the suspect refused to exit the residence and refused to speak with Officers.
The Sioux Falls Police Department Emergency Response Team was called to the scene and were able to eventually establish contact with the suspect. The suspect surrendered shortly before 2:00 a.m. on January 9, 2016.
