SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a Sioux Falls man may lose his eye after he was punched by a former roommate over money.
Officer Sam Clemens says the 30-year-old victim returned to the house to retrieve property.
Clemens says the two men got into an argument when the suspect demanded that the victm pay him the money he claims he's owed. The suspect hit the victim in the face severly damaging his eye.
The victim drove himself to the hospital where doctors told police last night that they weren't sure they could save the eye.
The assault happened at a house in the 800 block of North Duluth Avenue. Clemens says police knocked on the door but the suspect didn't answer and since they didn't have a warrant they'll have to return to arrest him.
