SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) – One person died in a single-vehicle crash that occurred Monday night three miles east of Sioux Falls.
The name of the 65-year-old man has not been released pending notification of family. He was the driver and lone occupant in the vehicle.
The Highway Patrol says A 2011 Infiniti QX56 was westbound on 269th Street approaching the T-intersection with 480th Street. The vehicle went through the intersection before stopping in a grove of trees. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate. Other agencies at the scene were the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Harrisburg Fire Department and Paramedics Plus.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
