Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) There is a Facebook call for a boycott of foul-mouthed comedian Ralphie May's show at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls April 13.
The boycott effort has nothing to do with the F-bombs May drops left and right in his show, but is in response to his comedic rant about Native Americans posted on YouTube by another comedian.
May posted his own YouTube video Wednesday night in response to all the heat he's been getting.
"In their editing they used my voice to inflict pain on people, innocent people, and for that, I am sorry." said May in the video. He explained that his comedy bit was taken out of context since only a short clip was used, and was posted illegally, anyway.
In the controversial, profanity-laced rant, May blasts Indians for getting drunk when they should get a job, and how they can't blame it on what happened 150 years ago.
May has said that he pokes fun at all ethnic groups in his shows to prove in the end that hate is wrong.
