SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - An alleged car thief may have taken a stolen car to where he's accused of stealing a second car early this morning in Sioux Falls.
Lieutenant Dave McIntire says a Toyota, left running at Bagel Boy on South Minnesota, was stolen around four this morning and later a Ford Mustang, also left running, was stolen from the Sheraton on West Russell.
An officer saw the stolen Mustang on East 10th Street and the chase was on. The driver of the Mustang went on I-229 where a Highway Patrolman took over the pursuit. The suspect took the I-29 northbound exit and when he got to the Madison exit he lost control, hit a curb and blew a tire.
McIntire says he fled on foot but was soon apprehended by police who re-joined the chase. Police found the car keys to the stolen Toyota in his pants.
25-year-old Jacob Issac Logue of Sioux Falls is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and aggravated eluding for racing from a Highway Patrolman before crashing the Mustang on I-29.
