SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO AM) - Yesterday's alleged lobster thief is identified as 51-year-old transient Lex Lauren Georg.
Officer Sam Clemens says Georg had the butcher at HyVee on West 10th box up the live lobster. Once he got the box he hid it under his shirt and walked out of the store. Store employees stopped Georg in the parking lot and called police.
The price of the lobster is $35.18 so Georg is charged with misdemeanor petty theft. The lobster was returned to the tank and at last word isn't someone's dinner, yet.
Meanwhile...No shortage of work for the street crimes division investigating online prostitution.
Officer Sam Clemens says detectives arrested 40-year-old Misty Lea Bozeman of Sioux Fall after arranging a meeting at southwest Sioux Falls apartment. After arriving at a price for services the undercover cop arrested Bozeman.
Clemens says Boseman was not part of a human trafficking crime. Prostitution is a misdemeanor.
