Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Controversial comedian Ralphie May has rescheduled his show in Sioux Falls for Thursday, December 8th at the Orpheum Theater in downtown.
The stop will be part of May's "White Trash Christmas Tour." All tickets that were sold for the comedian's original show at the Orpheum on April 13th will be honored for the December show. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster, JadePresents.com, or at the Denny Sanford Premier Center box office and cost $36.50.
May received criticism and even death threats from Native American groups last month after video of him making comments about alcoholism and joblessness on Reservations was posted to YouTube. At first May defended his comments saying he makes jokes about all races of people, however he later apologized saying what he thought was a joke was instead hurtful. After the video surfaced several of his shows were canceled, including stops in Sioux Falls, Fargo, and Burnsville, MN.
