TEA, SD (KELO-AM) Another South Dakota school had to deal with a fake bomb threat by robocall early Friday.
An elementary school in Tea, just south of Sioux Falls, was briefly locked down as authorities combed the school. No bomb, but they had to make sure.
This is the third robocall bomb threat in the Sioux Falls area this week. Lowell Elementary in Sioux Falls suffered two calls. Again, no bomb, but the disruption costs valuable instructional time and police time.
There have been a rash of robocall bomb threats to schools in at least 18 states. Investigators are trying to trace or track the calls, but it won't be easy.
