SIOIUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Law enforcement authorities anticipate more arrests in the burglary ring operating in the tri-state area following yesterday's arrests of Troy Williams Scott and Roger Stoebner in Sioux Falls.
Sargeant Pete Jaros says the ring relies heavily on storage sheds for stealing and hiding property and themselves.
Jaros says storage shed renters may not come back to their property for months and that gives the bad guys the opportunity to cut the locks and replace them with their own. Nothing looks out of the ordinary to the storage shed operators.
Jaros says the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office has been pleading with residents for month to check their storage units and see if they've been victimized.
Jaros says charges could include burglary, possession of stolen property and concealed weapons violations.
