SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol identifies the man who died in a single-car accident Saturday night near Renner as 27-year-old Ian Yenter of Dickinson, N.D.
Investigators say Yenter lost control of his vehicle on 258th Avenue near Packard Lane. The vehicle hit a guard rail and cable, went across the roadway, into the ditch and rolled. Yenter, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. He was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where he later died. He was the only occupant in the vehicle. South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on the scene were the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, Renner Fire Department, Renner EMS and MedStar. The Renner Utilities Department also was called to assist with a natural gas line leak that resulted from the crash.
