SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO AM) - There will be a multi-agency saturation patrol tomorrow night into Saturday morning in and around Sioux Falls.
Sergeant Randy Brinks says there's increased concern over racing, reckless driving, loud noise and driving impaired.
The Sioux Falls Police, the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the Minnehah County Sheriff's Office and the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office will add twenty extra lawmen to tomorrow night's patrol.
Brinks says high complaint areas will get closer patrolling including Veteran's Memorial Parkway, 57th and 69th Streets and South Minnesota and Louise Avenues.
All areas of the city will covered and law enforcement will enforce all vehicle laws. Don't expect a warning citation.
Police Chief Matt Burns says the goal is to gain voluntary compliance of road rules, that are in place to keep residents and visitors safe.
Increased efforts last year proved effective, but there are still concerns from the motoring public about unsafe driving habits throughout Sioux Falls.
