SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  A 17-year-old Sioux Falls boy faces a long list of charges after resisting arrest early this morning following a fight in the 900 block of West 10th Street.

Officer Sam Clemens says police chased the boy and, once caught, he punched the officer.  Clemens says that as the officer was trying to subdue the suspect, the boy spit at him.  The boy verbally threatened officers and his attitude remained unchange while sitting in the back of the patrol car.

Clemens says the boy is charged with simple assault, sliming, threatening officers, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and under age consumption.

He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.  The officer was not injured.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct, fleeing police and underage consumption.
