SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls woman was charged with her 4th D-W-I while there were two children in the back seat.
Lieutenant Jerry Miller says 36-year-old Nichole Kroger was stopped at 41st and Cliff around six New Year’s Eve night. Miller says an officer saw her driving on the sidewalk and stopped her. Two of her children, ages 8 and 10, were in the backseat
Miller says Kroger is also charged with child abuse and endangerment, open container and driving revoked.
Meanwhile… a Sioux Falls woman is charged with D-W-I after driving into the doors at Bath, Bed and Beyond on South Louise Avenue New Year's night.
Captain Greg Vandekamp says 34-year-old Chandra Lynn Malsam was not injured. Malsam was driving a 2011 GMC Acadia.
Vandekamp says that's the nature of a D-W-I. In this case it was damage to a building but a night earlier it was failing to stop at a flashing red light and hitting another vehicle. That incident ended with the death of a Sioux Falls woman.
