Volunteer Janet Harvey says it takes seconds to fill out a seven question test to learn your risk of having type 2 diabetes. She says if you score high enough you may be at risk of becoming diabetic and you should talk to your doctor. The risk test is available at the Association's website or at Walmart pharmacies.
By changing your life style-exercise more, eat healthier- you might prevent type 2 diabetes. She says small steps make a big difference and can help you live a longer, healthier life.
Harvey says nearly seven million Americans are diabetic and don’t know it.
