SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Tomorrow’s winter storm will have something that past systems have not had…moisture.
And that, says forecaster Todd Heitkamp, means four to eight inches of snow for Sioux Falls through Friday morning.
Heitkamp says the heaviest snow is forecast to fall from Yankton to Sioux Falls, northeast to Marshall, Minnesota.
A winter weather watch is in effect from Thursday afternoon at one until Friday afternoon at one. Northwest winds will average 25 to 35 miles an hour Thursday night into Friday morning. This will cause blowing snow and reduce visibilities to less than half a mile.
