SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police issued 125 speeding tickets Saturday during the daytime saturation patrol.
Lieutenant Jerry Miller says 16 extra officers were on the street targeting speeders and red light runners. Miller says four stop light and four stop sign citations were issued.
47 drivers had no proof of insurance, 15 driver's licenses were suspended, 26 warning citations were issued mostly for equipment violations and there were 8 seatbelt violations.
Police issued a total of 248 citations between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday.
