SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The speed limit on a two mile stretch of 479th Avenue, just southwest of the EROS Data Center, will be reduced to 45 miles an hour because of a detour due to bridge construction.
Jason Reeves with the County Highway Department says 300 cars travel to EROS daily with 70 percent coming from Sioux Falls. Reeves says with two bridges closing, 479th will see more traffic than usual and while it's in good shape the Township is requesting a lower speed limit.
The project will close County Highway 121 from 122 to 130 for about five months.
Reeves says once the bridges are complete the speed limit on the gravel road will return to 55.
