SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) To celebrate Earth Day this year, the Public Works Environmental Division has teamed up with Sioux Area Metro (SAM) to offer free rides on fixed routes (1‒25) all daylong on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Taking public transit is an easy way to help the environment because it reduces the amount of traffic congestion on the roads and vehicle emissions in the air.
Public transit also is a form of “active transportation” promoted by the Live Well Sioux Falls initiative because when you walk or bike to and from the bus stop, you are also getting physical activity!
Experience how easy it is to commute to and from work using public transit and ride free on April 22! Find out more information about routes at www.siouxfalls.org/sam.
